Appendix H in Cults of Prax is the basic source.
According to that truestone can store power, spells and other magic although the implication is that it is most often used for storing divine magic because there are other things which can store power and battle magic.
There are also references to truestone in Griffin Mountain but they are just items of treasure.
I think that's it for RQ2. AFAIK RQ1 was just the rulebook and not very different from the RQ2 rulebook which doesn't mention it.
