There may be no result at all outside of the zone of suppression, or perhaps it would be like having Her leg go to sleep. This would be an irritant to Ernalda, but She exists outside of time so can't directly act. Orlanth's reaction is unconscious, requiring no breach of Time. Maybe earthquakes would occur near the edge of the zone, like Ernalda turning in Her sleep...

Another interesting bit I gained from the current discussion is that non-Orlanth winds (like Storm Bull) would not be directly affected by Windstop. Therefore, the weather in my Carmania game might have seen more activity from the Vadruli/Valindi winds since Orlanth is not doing his usual job of suppressing them. Orlanth isn't dead, but He *is* distracted.

Another aspect of the response to Windstop outside of Dragon Pass would be the way the natives interpret these things. I should probably interpret these events through the Entekosiad - probably involving the myth of Entekos and Hare (Winter, and the Food Contest - p 33). Carmanians don't see Orlanth as the Lord of all Winds. Most (good) winds are servants of Entekos, like Doburdun. Ignoring Invisible Orlanth, Orlanth is probably seen as the chief of the bad winds, maybe identified with the Crooked Gods. The Lunars claim to have slain the Rebel Storm might ring a bit hollow under the circumstances. The weather is *worse* in the Western Reaches during the Windstop, not better. Now if you see the Red Emperor as Hare then things might begin to make sense - in a treasonous way. :)
