There are a couple of sex-changes in published sources, apart from Heler. The Lightbringers were all changed to women by Eurmal to get across the field of No-men on their quest. There was a mushroom that does it, described in trollpak. I would think it would be easier to go to troll lands and buy some sex-change mushroom than to go on a heroquest.
