The topic of Kolat came up on the list recently. It raised a question I've never really seen a satisfactory answer to -- how do Kolati survive?
The writeups I've seen say that Kolati aren't part of Heortling society. But what society are they a part of? Are they effectively Heortling beggars, as suggested bythe King of Dragon Pass computer game? Do they live in family groups, and pass the tradition on to their descendants? Or are they isolated weirdos like Eurmali, who pop up from time to time despite concerted efforts to stamp them out?
