That's about it. And sometimes people go "eeew!" at the idea of discussing the whole concept for some reason. I'm sure there's different answers in each culture, anwyay.

Agreed - and Earth had plenty of mythic links, too, back when mythic belief (if you see what I mean) was more common.

Yes, it's tricky. A cycle four weeks long, roughly, but starting at a different time for each woman. So it's no good saying "bleeding occurs in Death week because...", or "when the Shargash planet rises" unless you've got every woman in Glorantha synchronised.

At least you had the sense to realise that it would be a joke. Four-five days of bleeding in every eight would not be good.

If that's because as a bloke you're nervous about making cliched jokes about women, let me reassure you - knowing what it feels like from the inside, I'd say it's a potentially useful comparison. BGs are more extreme than the average woman, though.

If you can find four aspects to cycle through, one per week, then the question of which aspect falls in which week can be of mythic significance for the individual woman.

The answer to that will be different for each culture, I think. And I'm pretty sure Praxians do have a correspondence, but I don't have my Drastic Prax to hand to look it up :)
