Possibly they're technically "heroes" (meaning 6b), but given that they receive worship and grant magic in return, they're gods in every meaningful sense, surely?

Another example: the subtitle of "King of Sartar" is "The mystery of Argrath; how one man became a god". Or is that taking us back to the "charlatans" thread?
