I've been considering this for a while before posting.

I think once you've got the soul wound, it's already too late. You nolonger have a complete soul. Even if you could find some way of removing the wound (which I doubt is possible), you're nolonger a complete being.

Moreover I suspect that the soul wound is actualy no more or less than a chaos taint. It's just that Vivamort found a way to express the taint it in such a way that instead of consuming more of your soul, it consumes that of your victim and allows the vampire to spiritualy subsist off the scraps that are left (and hence use the magics that are in those scraps).
