Simon (of the Hibbs variety):

I'm with Simon here. I think the soul wound delivered by a vampire bite (most likely only bites given during some special ritual - I don't think that a regular bite given to a drunk in some back alley of Pavis is enough) taints the soul of the receiver enough to reduce his choices to: fighting his way towards vampirism as Vivamort did or some other form of damnation (I don't really know, what happens to souls, that don't get to their gods' otherworlds, but I guess the expression 'hell' has some relevance here). I don't think he has the choice of killing himself and getting to the otherside of his god, since he's already tainted with chaos.

Donald's idea on curing soul wounds:

> Another thought on curing "soul wounds". There could be some

I like this. I've heard something about the lunars knowing the secrets of transcending chaos. Maybe that's the result, when a vampire 'transcends chaos'. It is after all a lunar secret so it would be appropriate, if it didn't really remove the chaotic hunger, but only redirected the hunger.
