I don't think it was Arkat's wound, but it's an interesting idea.
My theory about Arkat's wound is that it was unhealable because it became part of his nature, part of his identity. To heal him would have been to make him into something he nolonger was, or could be. I think if Chalana Arroy met him in heroquest, she might not even have realised he was wounded because the physical wound is realy a middle-world symptom of a spiritual transformation.
