I'd just like to point out that
Life and death are a natural cycle to the humans, and they probably only fear unnatural and unclean death.

For elves and humans both, life is precious, known and full of meaning, pleasure
and acquired experiences.

I think that the differences between elves and humans are not to be found in their attitudes about life and death.
