When did it happen? In the Mythic AGes, the Gods War, before Time.

Correcting a mistake?
It was trying to change Gods War events.
This Ship Raising is an example of the essential futility of trying to change
God Time Events. I've read about people wanting to get Morokanth their thumbs
back, or Yelmalio his Fire Powers back.
Theoretically possible, but well nigh impossible. Which does not, of course,
prevent the ever-optimistic humans from trying.

There were about 5,000 to 5,500 of them once, at the Dawn, and they were united.

No. The term that might be comparable ot that ill-defined (almost nonsensical) term might be Orlanthi.

Sartar's magic was unique, special, original. He was not the first person to unite the Heortlings.
