An interesting follow-up question, then, is has this ever happened in history? An actual 10M15-resistance change to the structure of the Cosmos? What about the Sunstop, the Closing, and the rise of the Red Moon?

Mind you, you could argue that in each case, there was an attempt to change the structure of the Cosmos which eventually backfired badly. (Or will do so, in the case of the Moon, of KoS is to be believed). That could be the universe reasserting itself - or it could just be evidence that changing the nature of reality is really, really dangerous and unpredictable.
