The ideas that have been discussed about the "Outer Darkness" sound very
similar to the idea of the Sub-Underworld that I discussed with Issaries Inc
at one point. None of this came into print, nor is it official in any way,
and is merely presented as a contribution to the discussion.
This wasn't my idea originally, to start with, but I came up with some
descriptions for it, that it was the place in the Underworld where the shell
of the world cracked open to the Outside ; and that it's also the place
where the Dead Planets, Sunken Islands, rockfall from the Spike, dead Gods
and Spirits, Fallen Stars, rents of Darkness, and other remnants and
fragments
of the Glorantha that was destroyed by Chaos, fell down to when the
World was Destroyed and where they still mingle with
the Chaos from Beyond that also still lives there...
It is a realm of indescribable Death and Suffering and Hatred.
This was related to a discussion about demons --- it was agreed that most demons are just otherworld beings from different cultures, so that an Aldryami Spirit is a Demon from the Uz POV. But it was also agreed that there was a small class of rare and powerful demonic entities that hailed from this Sub-Underworld ("Chaos Demons" per se), and that didn't belong to any existing otherworld, per se, and to help explain a common perception that demons are from "The Underworld" contrary to Uz cosmology for example...
This sub-Underworld was an interesting idea IMO anyway, as it was really conceived as a group of wildly varying sub-planes, having some sort of connection both with Primal Chaos and the Inner World, but as being essentially alien to the nature of Inner Glorantha as it currently exists, although related to, as it is composed of similar building blocks...
