  As far as I am concerned, Glorantha should exist independently of rules mechanics.    

  So, using Runes to cast Rune Magic is a rules mechanic, nothing more. Nothing should be read into the nature of Glorantha from this.    

  Similarly, a lot of the way that Glorantha is written under HeroQuest has meant that Glorantha has been skewed because of the HeroQuest rules mechanics.    

  I would much prefer to see histories, mythos, geographical information and writeups of cultures rather than interpreting things in terms of the rules mechanics of HeroQuest, RuneQuest, DP/NG and any other game.
