Theya had travelled a lot, and met several hsunchen tribes. This got her thinking that it should be possible for her clan to forge a deeper link with Yinkin. One sacred time Theya quested to court Yinkin, and got pregnant by the catgod. She carried the pregnancy for a full year and had the children during the next sacred time, in the forest where Yinkin hunts (can't remember the name of the forest in Storm realm right now).
So that particular quest was meant to give birth to a demigod.
What she actually got was a litter of four shapeshifters, that can take the form of a human or a cat. Two of the children are mostly cats, and two are mostly human.
A rival hunter clan, who mostly worship Odayla, grew jealous of these divine children, and an ambitious thane decided to steal some of the children in a midnight raid. The raid went wrong, Theya shook of their trickster's magic, woke up and leapt on the raiders inside her home. Naked from her bed, fighting with tooth, claw and magic Theya slew three of the four attackers, but the leader struck her down from behind with a sword and escaped.
The chief of the Winterrock clan adopted the children, and demanded huge wergeld. This was not payed, as the other clan concidered their three dead thanes blood for blood. Theya's young children demanded blood, and the clan chiefs have decided (unoffiscially) that the matter will be one for the children to settle when they are older.
The children were very magical, and strange things started happening in the clan grounds [In northern Heortland, high in the foothills of the stormwalk mountains], like heort's blue deer, and unicorns being seen. The other side grew closer and the boundaries between the worlds weakened. It became necessary to initiate the children early.
During their initiation Theya's children found themselves in the Storm age. Yina's (human) brother Yenka made friends with Hantrafal and Kolat, and learned strange magics at their feet. He become a godi, very shamanistic in style, and with unique spirit hunting feats. Yina's catlike sister follows Yenka and works with him, like a theistic version of a shaman's companion spirit.
Yina was impressed with his uncle Orlanth, and ultimately became one of his warrior companions, as did Yina's catlike brother Silver.

That's the short version :D I ran a very free initiation for Suvi, with the character basically living through the significant events of Heortling mythology. She became a heroic scout for the Thunder Brothers, and lived through the greater darkness to see the dawn with her own eyes, like her father.

That's pretty neat! Especially since the shadowcat's have that shimmer glow anyway.
PS. Suvi is of course the person who drew this

So having a Yinkini demigod character is pretty appropriate
