Try traditional Australian Aboriginal societies. The ones I have any
familiarity with use this system for those parts of inheritance (which
includes both language & coroborees as posessions) which are men's
business. I don't know about women's business, but then I'm a bloke.
In fact for variety & complexity of bloodline relationships traditional
Australian societies about take the cake.
John Hughes will know considerably more about this than I.
