[Glorantha] To Walk In Far Places: Campaign Background

I'm about to post some campaign notes on Alda Chur and the Far Place. They are drafts of long standing which, after discussion and possible tinkering here, I will be releasing as a PDF document together with other Far Place materials.

The basic aim has been to flesh out the initial settlement by the Far Walkers, and to provide a workable campaign base for depicting Yelmalians and the Yelmalio cult in the context of the Far Place. Yelmalio is a topic that has attracted some controversy in the past, and my rendering is firmly based on the idea that a barbarian solar cult has been consciously developed and shaped by the Lunars to a strategic and political end.

As such, its an example of Lunar cultural engineering, and of a still-evolving cultus.

I should spell out the obvious: this is a personal vision, the fruit of a particular campaign, and while aspects of my vision of the Far Place have been incorporated into published materials, the following material is in no sense official. YGWV.
