Given the variety among the tribes, I'd expect to see different interpretations of such myths in different places at different times. Identifying enemy spirits or gods with those from other cultures is always a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the identification can be fairly easy because they are specificaly refering to the god of a foreign enemy, but if the god or spirit is actualy from their own mythology and traditions then the identification can only ever be nominal.

However even nominal indentifications can be magicaly useful. Magic used to fight an ancient traditional darkness foe may well be very effective againtst any darkness enemy, especialy if the enemy shares other similar characteristics as well as just darkness. From a HQ point of view, I'd allow anti-Black Eater magic, rituals or heroquests to be fully effective against either Kyger Litor or Zorak Zoran worshipers for example.

So is Black Eater 'The god of the Trolls' according to then Praxians or is it an enemy of Waha from mythological times? If the latter I don't think we'll ever come up with a definitive identification, and nor should we.
