I'll have to disagree here. Just because the texts are provably accurate does not necessarily mean they are internally consistent. To take an example that was identified in Orlanthi mythology - Humakt kills Orlanth to return the world to rightness. The question is was Orlanth contrite when he was slain? The worshippers of Humakt say that he wasn't while Orlanth's worshippers say that he was. Both are true, neither can be reconciled with each other and attempts to arrive at a middle position miss the point.
