I'd regard it more as a town/village split with the Esvulari in the towns and the Orlanthi in the hills around them. So there'll be a reasonable amount of interaction and some intermarriage. I'd expect the social groups to be no more different than Christians and Pagans in northern europe shortly after the arrival of Christianity. Mostly a matter of living and working alongside with political differences causing more problems than religious differences. Of course there would be a bit of trouble stirred up by religious fanatics but most people would ignore that un less it suited them.
