Possible combined insight: yes, mortals can create new myths where there isn't one to discover, BUT, this will be a transient creation, illusion, glamour. As it is created on the hero plane and brought back to the mundane world as a heroquest reward it is probably a rather durable glamour, but transient nonetheless.

Plausible?
