Sadly, I am thinking this isn't going to work for what I wanted to do.

I was hoping for somewhere Arkat was bogged down in a siege, and couldn't get through. But the Arkat story really does seem to be one of his inexorable progress across the land.

The only real stop point (where he seemed to get bogged down for 10 years) is Karotlin pass. That's fine, but I want something a little less known, a bit more obscure.

Northern Slontos does have some nice possiblities, but it seems it more just got torn up by Palangio and Arkat (mind you, I could tweak this to work there - it would be a nice thing to throw into a Trader Princes adventure then).

So perhaps I rethink where I put this.

I really should be packing, anyway. :)
