Simon Phipp>Well, the Pol Joni don't have a Pentian heritage. That would be the Grazelanders/Pure Horse Tribe. The Pol Joni are Tarshite/Sartarite in heritage (Derik Poljoni was of the Blue Jay Clan of the Dundealos Tribe and founded the Pol Joni after a HeroQuest where he gained the Black Net and pulled together his followers).
But weren't the people that came out of the Black Net, the survivors of the Pure Horse Tribe? I think it's implied in KoDP.
I'd see the PJ as a mix of light and heavy horse, depending upon their tribal background before joining the Pol Joni. eg former Bison riders heavy, ex Impala riders light.
