Having looked at the pic, and noted the options to ahve this as just one weapon among many, yes, I like it for Humakti. Never mind practicality, feel the mythic significance! Just like Elmali and others trying to use the spear as a duelling weapon - it isn't one, it's very bad at it, they'd be far better off with a sword.

I have an idea there were very early thrusting swords, complete with square or diamond cross-section, but I'd have to do some looking up to find the details. I'd be surprised if they were long enough to use effectively from horseback, though, metallurgy just wasn't up to it. Remembering that Gloranthan bronze is better than RW bronze, how much weaponry improvement are you able to take?
