Typical Orlanthi reaction, we've lost a lot of our wealth so let's go pinch someone else's. Now Argrath may have other reasons but that's the way the average clansman will see it. Also the one thing that will be cheap is weapons and armour - you'll have stickpickers with swords.

It's not a desire for genocide. The Lunars didn't expect the Fimblewinter any more than the Orlanthi did. I see the lunar priestesses dashing about trying to mitigate it's effects on the friendly clans. That they succeed to some extent proves the superiority of the Lunar way.
