I wish to add that my principal interest is 1602 and before. In my game Sartar still stands, and there is indeed precious little material on the country, as it was before the conquest.
In the history in KoS, just about everything that can go wrong, seem to go
wrong. I'd like to hear what is behind the reference that many tribes
refused to muster in 1602. Was it because of missionary work by the
Lunars. Which tribes were these? It seems a bit odd that the quivini would
change their allegiance to Tarsh and Shepelkirt.
What comes to mind is that instead of missionaries there may have been
prophets telling of the doom to come, and the futility of resistance. Some
The House of Sartar had been heroes of Change, Storm and Trade. The grim time of Salinarg, with his Household of Death, may have alienated and depressed the less warlike clans. When one sends sons and daughters to march in the tune of Humakt, one doesn't expect many of them to come back.
