[Glorantha] KoS and the Sartar cavalry

I re-read the bits in KoS regarding the wars betwen Sartar, Tarsh and the Empire. At least one prince of Sartar was famous for leading a cavalry charge into the lunar rear, and cutting down the magicians.

I'm starting to think that Sartar has high quality cavalry, but not very much of it. What cavalry Sartar has is composed of Thanes and other wealthy elites. They are very well equipped, brave and skilled.

Tarsh has professional cavalry that is not as well equipped, nor as well motivated, but they have much more of it. In addition Tarsh has a few elite units of carmanian style cataphracts.

The sartarite cavalry is propably mostly based on the city confederations, and the royal mounted warband. The biggest tribes can have some cavalry of their own, but propably not very much. Colymar comes to mind.
