Not at all. The Sea Gods are all around (with a mix of spirit and sorcerous relatives tossed in everywhere).
The eastern gods are different ones from the Genertelan or northwestern Pamaltelan ones (although some of the Antigods are well known entities further west).

Not as a native god, but LM probably was one of the instruments used by the God Learners of the False Dragon Ring to catalogue the eastern gods etc. Treack Markhor (the LM apostate who re-awakened Atyar) was one of those.
> Are the sea gods on both continents the same?
Around, and beneath: yes, for general forces of the sea, no for currents or the watery equivalent of land goddesses and earth kings.

Coastal Pamaltela has been subject to Debaday's Antigods', Vadeli, Artmali and other Sea ally (like Helerings, or Desero's storm horde that failed in Tarien) ravages during later Storm Age, Darkness and Gray Age. Some of the Artmali or Artmali allies appear to have been divine in origin (Tolat, other celestial entities).
Speaking of the Desero horde: they appear similar to the Andam invasion of Pelanda, but could be just as well similar to the Storm Bull followers that became the Praxian Beast Riders. We cannot say whether they were led by divine or spirit entities.
And, to rehash an ancient discussion with Sandy on similarities and dissimilarities between Hsunchen (the original spirit practitioners) and Praxians, do the Praxian ancestors (who rode on their herd beasts from the slopes of the Spike into Genert's Garden) and other Genert spirits have a connection to the South, or the Hsunchen?
