It's not exactly a complaint. I'm just confused with the decision not to include hard and immediately useful game-data like that.
What does the lunar field college actually do? We how have information on the hierarchy. Obviously the field college works like an orchestra, A conductor (the most gifted magician, I assume) is coordinating seven other powerful magicians. These seven are supported by nine low level magicians, who are basically just there to boost and empower the seven (eight) people above them.
But what do they do, and at what level?
Does the field college bombard the enemy with elemental forces, and if so, which element? Do they call down blinding light from the moon, or summon up flights of magically enraged sparrows (I hope not).
That sort of detail.
What sort of a character is a typical supporting member of a field college? Do they have useful personal magic, or do they just work as an amplifyer for the higher ups? Do the six colleges specialize in different aspects of magic? Is that a function of the current top people, or do they have regimental traditions? What are the HQ:game engine statistics of a field college on war footing?
And so on...
