Correct. The Great Darkness is Chaos, not Darkness. Except that Chaos isn't an Element (except when it is.) It's a phase between the "Then" of GodTime and "Now". It's when everything went to hell (literally) and lost identity for a while, so that not even "Alive" or "Dead" had real meaning. Not until the Dawn. (Of course, this is all from the Theyalan viewpoint, and is not Pan-Gloranthan - the various cultures all have their own names for the period we refer to as "the Great Darkness", and their own myths of what happened then).
