I suppose it comes from the idea that Dragonewts are 'immature' dragons, but it's not quite as simple as that. In fact it may be that full dragons are actually a stage beyond maturity and aren't actually capable of reproduction themselves. I think that's unlikely, although a comparison with Protectors (one for the Larry Niven fans) is tempting, if silly. Received on Sat 03 Feb 2007 - 13:34:51 EET
