Catty, but also what I was thinking. :)
The dragonized (or is it draconized?) theists and scout level mystics propably weren't significantly worse off than the lower ranks in other societies, and they would have participated in the awakening of the great dragon.
The EWF fell, and the victors have written the history. When I present memories of the EWF to the one player character who is a survivor (well, he has some of his earlier memories) I certainly present the EWF as an advaced and glorious society, in comparison to what he finds in the third age (in Pavis and Sartar).
