Sounds promising, though "nicer version of ZZ" makes the mind boggle slightly.

Any guesses what name a Sartarite would give to Xiola Umbar?

While we're on trolls, it's been suggested to me that since darksense is low-frequency sonar (is it? sounds right, but I'm not sure), and this works at long range (well, it does for whales), trolls should be able to use it to speak to each other at long range. I can't say I'm entirely convinced, but if this is right, their tactics can change a lot, since they now have the equivalent of modern battle communications.
