I think it is clearly implied. The Darktroll (Uz) has a much more developed eyesight than the Mistress Troll, and this is said to be an adaptation to living on the surface where there is (much more) light. I guess there must have been light in Wonderhome too, or parhaps the mistress troll has eyes because it's still a creature of the Man Rune. Hmm... parhaps they had eyes for raiding the surface world, or maybe some horrible parts of hell (Wonderhoe) had dully glowing rivers of Lava even in the good old days.

Parhaps since I'm not nearly as cynical or catty as that sentence would imply? Why so bitter?
