Welcome to the Wide World of Glorantha Fan Lists.

A place where people throw their toys out of their prams at every opportunity.

A place where people engage in discussions and then flatly refuse to accept the results.

A place where people post things left, right and centre and then delete their posts or refuse permission to use them.

A place where people talk about sharing information then jealously guard rights to their own material.

I'm surprised it has taken you so long to realise this.

Believe away. Pettiness seems to be one of the attributes of a list member.

Personally, I don't mind who uses my material. The only caveat I have is if anyone makes money using something I have written, I'd like them to send some of it my way. So, my conscience is clear.

Others obviously do mind and are joining the Dark Side.

It's one of the things about Glorantha that i've never liked, the hoarding of information and not sharing because "it's confidential", "it might be published some time" or "someone asked me not to share it".

One of the reasons for Issaries' Fan Policy has been stated to avoid somebody discussing material, changes being made and then the first person refusing permission for their ideas being used, thus making the whole material unusable. Clearly, this lesson has not been learned here.

Anyway, ranting over and, as always, all in my opinion.

See Ya
