The acrimony here has reached levels I find intolerable. I have many fine memories of the Gloranthan Digest list from the 10+ years I've been a subscriber, but what this place was, it isn't any more. The phrase "mountain of a molehill" is parhaps one that the people here should think about for a moment.

A few comments as I leave to set the record straight:

:is in the word "copy". Alternatively you could have posted a link
:to the message in the archive without any copyright infringement.

I'm pretty darn sure it wasn't. I quoted a few lines of text and one _idea_ concerning a work of fiction. I posted a copy of _my_ take on the same idea. If you feel quite sure that this constitutes a breech of copyright law I think you should let some doubt enter your mind. That wouldn't hold in any honest court.

And you were wrong. Several people were delighted and really happy to see Chrisis idea, including mr. Stafford. The general consensus was that this is one of those things that seems obvious once one has actually heard it.

Now think for a moment what would have been gained by refusing to play with the other kids, and hoarding that idea jealously. Really people...
