During the chaos wars the Chaos godling, Teshpit the Regenerator, was
attacked by Magasta's thane the octopus. The two struggled and Octopus
engulfed and desolved Teshpits head, but Teshpit managed to slay and absorb
Octopus. For a brief while the the Teshtapus continues as a warrior for the
chaos tribe but was overcome by Zorak Zoran cut into many bits. As usual his
followers gathered up the bits and scattered them to ensure Teshtapus'
destruction. But each scattered bit grew and is now called a
walking-octopus.
