Arrows are made of gross material substances, not of pure spiritual light. They
curve down, it curves up. But if you cast a Speedart (or similar) spell on an
arrow, the infusion of magical light energy brings its path more nearly to the
horizontal, increasing its effective range. Cf. Notes from Notchet in Tales #13
for Carpocrates the Orthodox's diatribe against lunatic Round-Earth theories,
including this example (sundry other arguments Refuting the Ignorant are present
