My feeling was that the Humakti in Martin's story was no more than an
assasin, something which, we know, Humakt hates. I think that there may be
Humakti who feel that Death is that much more important than Honour and Truth
but they are the broken ones. Humakt's place in the pantheon is Death for
a Purpose and what is more the Purpose isn't a purely personal one but one
which serves the society in which the cult is embedded.
Yes, most Orlanthi look upon Humakti as frightening, violent and cut off from
Kin and Clan. But they also regard them as necessary.
