I was discussing the phases of the red moon with a friend over the weekend
and want to check the validity of the conclusions we came to.
As I understand it, half the moon is red, the other half is black. As the
moon rotates, an arc of red moonlight sweeps outwards across Genertela.
Outside the glowline, the red moon is seen to wax and wane over a 7 day
cycle from full, to black, to full again.
