As for the moon and glowline, I believe the Red Moon is visible just about
everywhere on Glorantha. However, inside the Glowline, its magical potency
is much higher, and even the uninitiated can see a red corona surrounding
it, no matter its phase.

Since I won't be at Convulsion, I will point out that Lunar heroquesters
(or Travel and Journey explorers) such as Valare Addi did in fact heroquest
as time travel. They "had less access to ancient written sources then they
did to the realms." And Valare personally checked several of the stories
she collected (presumably by time travelling back and observing
first-hand).
