I doubt it. The cults were crafted by the God Learners to rule over
the volcanic lands and displace whatever native Volcano cult existed.
Mastery over smithing was not something they cared about. Also the
claims that C&A are responsible for Fireblood, Earthbone and Diamond
are not widely believed outside their lands. Most people attribute
these gifts to Lodril, Solf or some other volcano god.

>Gagarth?

Ga[r]garth was written up in ToTRM#3 (or was it #4?). A brief Elmal
cult writeup (for Pendragon Pass) on David Dunham's Web Page whereas
Barntar is too unimportant to merit one.

>I will point out that Lunar heroquesters (or Travel and Journey
>explorers) such as Valare Addi did in fact heroquest as time travel.

But they did not _physically_ visit the past. They merely visited a
place on the Otherworld which mirrored the people as they lived then.
If the Lunars left an ironspear point, then the spearpoint will
remain in the Otherworld rather than turn up in the city of Carantes.

> I have always understood that distilled liquors are a
>fairly modern invention on Earth, no?

Distillation requires a still which didn't become commonplace
until circa 12th century AD. For Sartarites to be making strong
booze by fractional distillation reeks to me of Lodrili keeping
the Earth Warm by burying hot nuclear waste. I believe that
they rely on prayers to Minlister and other spirits to increase
the bounty of the brew.

IMO the Lunars would make hard liquor by similar magical
means. I think the Westerners would know of the still as
a result of the God Learner Alchemical explorations.

An exotic brew: A friend of mine homebrews for a hobby. One
day, he mistakenly put salt instead of sugar when making a batch.
The resulting concoction looked like beer, smelt like beer and
tasted like seawater. One for the merfolk?

I imagine the Fonritans raid the Jolar plains for the Men-and-a-half
which they put to good use in their slave armies. The Dara Happans
used to raid the people of Balazar for slaves.
