Berneel Arashagern is probably not originally draconic (and I don't think
Peter ever said it was, though I might of at one time - not sure where I
got the idea from, though).
I think the EWF probably tried hard to convince people it was
draconic, though.
I'm not sure of its origins. I think Peter thinks its cthonic in
origin, and if it originates in Doblian then this is probably true. The
Ivory pages edition hints that it might come from Rinliddi, and if so its
origin probably has something to do with snakes as the prey of eagles.
Other serpenty figures are connected with the earth in Peloria myth
occasionally, but there aren't really enough of them to make much of a
case. The Snake Headed Annara Gor is the lover of Lodril and the original
wife of Monster Man (also maybe connected to the Celestial Dragon).
