If I'm not mistaken, the Cradle scenario takes place in 1620 or 1621. Also
the name is spelled "Garrath" not *Garreth* (See RoC pg 74 and Pavis) which
is, coveniently, an anagram for "Argrath". Also, recall in the Cradle
scenario found in Pavis, that Garrath Sharpsword stays on the Cradle after
the PCs take their armloads of Gold as their reward for helping to protect
the giant baby. We all know that Argrath supposedly helped defend the Cradle
and stayed on it for a time after it leaves the River of Cradles (KoS pgs
20-21). Although, as far as I know, no published source has ever said that
Argrath and Garrath are the same person, it seems fairly obvious to me that
he was.
Oh, and as far as his age is concerned, on pg 19 of KoS Argrath was supposed
BTW...Who would win a fight between the Red Vadeli and the Wolf
to have been 14 when he killed a Lunar "tax collector" who was raiding his
family stead. We also know that Boldhome fell in 1602. Since I believe it is
reasonable to say that these two events occurred around the same time (maybe
within a year or two of each other) I think we can safely say that Argrath
was probably around 16 (give or take a year or two) in 1604 when he won the
Garhound Contest as Garrath Sharpsword.
Pirates/Yggites?
Just curious ;-)
