My Praxian tribesmen know the following:

The sun comes up every morning far, far, to the east, at the edge of the
world, which is a mountain range on the very far end of the Plains. The
sun sets very near in the West, just past Dragon Pass, which is the
Western Edge of the world. The Lunars, since they come from beyond the
Western Edge and are neither ghosts, spirits, nor gods, are chaos
monsters. The northern edge of the world is a tiny strip of pathetic
scrub only fit for horses <<spit>>. It is only a day north of the snow
line. The southern edge of the world is just south of the salt water
pond. Fire is there.

A typical Pavisite really hasn't thought about the matter. There is The
City, and everything else (they're about as parochial as a typical NYC
inhabitant--extremely). Many Pavisites resent the temerity of the Lunars
in claiming another metropolis far more than they resent anything else
from the Lunars. Any scholar can get pretty good maps of the Dragon
Pass, Prax west of the Zola Fel, the Holy Country, and similar areas.
There are bad maps available for other areas, usually mis-indexed and
mis-labelled.

Lunar maps are available to "reliable" people.
