Rich Ohlson suggests:
> You are You emulating Argrath
> emulating Orlanth. So, for all intents and purposes, you ARE Orlanth.

Well, for _some_ intents and purposes you're Orlanth. For others,
you're Argrath, and for others yet, Yourself.

> As Orlanth you are running around doing something Important, and all of
> a sudden, you hear some choadmonkey's divination, "Oh Great Orlanth,
> Master of the Winds, blah blah blah... Are you really West King Wind?"
> Or worse yet, "Orlanth, HELP ME! ARRRGGHHH!!"

Interesting concept. It'd certainly explain the choppy service.
While it seems mildly disconcerting, it does seem to make a fair
bit of sense. At the least, it's certainly possibly that someone
might invoke a DI, divination, or whatever, in the name of some
particular Hero of a god, rather than the generic Divinity (Blessed
Dalthippa, Pray for Us?), in which event that hero turning up
would hardly be a major shock.

Equally, it could be one of those things that if does occur, no one
can really tell. Say I'm getting shish-kababed by a Yelmalian, and
I invoke aid from Orlanth. The cavalry duly arrives, I get saved.
Meanwhile, some Orlanthi hero is doing the Hill of Gold quest, and
bashes in the Generic Yelmali Opposition with his usual panache.
Were the two incidents related? How would either me, or Rupert the
Wet, actually notice, much less be sure?

Thoughtfully,
Alex.
