um, sorry again for the lame TXMAIL@UTXDP.DP.UTEXAS.EDU imitation on the
subject line of my last post...

David Weihe attributes the Black Eater theory to Nysalorian apologists,
which is true to an extent... However the Trolls Do admit (even brag
about) summoning It (Uz Lore p??--the books not with me). I think that
if pressed, they would say that foul Gbaji used his vile chaos magics to
turn their ally against them. Poor, friendly, BE was warped beyond
recognition and used as a tool of evil. The Nysalorists would say that
the trolls summoned something beyond their control, and cursed
themselves. Your average troll would only know that enlo are a curse
from gbaji, and nothing of the mechanics. A Lunar would smugly chide
"serves 'em right for summoning powers beyond their control." (heh,
heh... um, mebbe not, but it would be neat if they did ;-)

In the interest of equal time, I should mention that a good
Orlanthi would make an impassioned three hour speech about how it all
proved that the Orleving were filthy stick-pickers, and needed to be
taught a lesson they wouldn't soon forget. A Kralorelan would nod
enigmatically, and a priest of the west would launch into a sermon on
the evils of paganism...
