It seems that I was unclear (not unusual, I know).
I was going on about doing a 7-year quest dutrin a 14-day ritual, and
said:

Perhaps not surprisngly, Benedict got confused:

Not at all. I was talking about healing - sitting around for a few weeks
waiting for your arm to get better. If you're lucky enough to have enough
Healing Spells for the entire quest, without stopping to rest up and get
MP back, good for you.

Well, he passes the Test of Healing in the LBQ. But in any case, he has
as much power as anyone else to wake up the next morning and find that
his injuries are less painful than they were the day before.

All I was suggesting was that naturally time-dependant processes are tied
to real Time, not HP time (since that's pretty vague anyway). So you only
need food for 14 days - useful! You only need 14 days worth of sleep.
Those little practical problems that story-tellers ignore - can be
ignored! But being hit with a Big Axe is not time-dependant, so you get
the whole lot of it.
