Gold Wheel Dancers

Luther Clay asked about Gold Wheel Dancers, as part of a
complaint that he didn't think he would ever be satisfied with his
knowledge of Glorantha. I can't do much about the later, but the
subject of GWD was pretty thoroughly worked over at Glorantha Con
IV, in the Lore Auction and the Great Secrets of Glorantha seminar.
These will be published in the GC IV Conpendium, hopefully not to far
off in the future.
In short, the Gold Wheel Dancers were a magical, non-human race
that died out during the First Age. (Evidently a fate of many non-human
races; they could not adapt well to the world during the Darkness, and
they "didn't make the cut" to the way the world was after the Dawn.)
They could take on human form, and even mate with humans.
Pinchining (sp?) was a particular Gold Wheel Dancer who was
quite accidently restored to active life in the Chaosium house campaign,
and appeared in the "Cradle" scenario in the Pavis boxed-set.
