That's strange, because I have sometimes thought of it as the
Imperialist Americans attempting to overpower the locals
with their insidious culture, entertainment, and values.
Think of the Crimson Bat as a B-52 strike, and the Phalanx's as
Armoured columns, and the Sartarites start looking more like the VC
fighting for independence and the right to self-determination
against the industrial might of the US.
I even imagine the lunars looking confused because the locals
don't all realise the advantages of their Lunar culture.

Nick made a big posting regarding People of Glorantha. I just about
fell off my chair drooling so much. It's such a stunningly good idea
that I can see exactly why AH didn't go for it. <sigh>
I must admit that recently I've felt that a lot of the discussion
(and even some the RQ supplements I've seen) hasn't been useful to my
game, because a lot of effort seems to have been spent on continents
and cultures that will never impact on my Game. The Jrusteli (sp)
Godlearners, the Holy country, even most of the Lunar stuff has no
consequence to my game set at the low end of "Low fantasy".
It feels like a lot of the sources are aimed at covering the world
rather than looking at one bit closely. Nick's idea for PoG seems to
be looking at providing in one place a close investigation of one
area, and would be exactly what I am looking for.
I've run years of gaming through Prax, Sartar and Pavis, and
never run out of things to do in the area (until the characters got
to the level of political power that I had not enough details over).

On a related topic - where could I look for back issues of TotRM?
When it was coming out I was a poor student, and now I've only
managed to track down about three issues. (12, 15 and one with chaos
all through it).
I think I should point out I'm in Christchurch, New Zealand.

What is the situation with regards to replicating out of print
Also, My RQ2 book is falling apart after many years of use (and many
layers of fibre tape), and now the pages are actually eroding.
material? (For personal use). If I have to I'll type the most used
sections in and print copies for my players to flick through instead
of my decrepid original.
Cheers Steve
